Every size comes in 400 and in 500 grams per square metre. Side by side you do not see the difference at once, after a shower you feel it.
Which weight for which room
The 400 line is the choice for standard rooms: it dries fast, puts little load on the laundry and still dries the guest properly. The 500 line belongs in suites and wellness areas, where the guest stays longer and looks closer. It pays not to run the same quality through the whole house.
Bath mats 50x70
In 650 and 700 grams per square metre, heavy enough to stay where it was put, and dense enough to keep the floor dry after the shower.
Allow for shrinkage
Terry shrinks on the first wash, by up to fifteen percent depending on quality. Allow for it when you fix sizes for rails and shelves, not afterwards.
What the goods need in the laundry
Process white goods at 95 degrees. Load machine and dryer only to the capacity the drum is built for, otherwise the hems abrade. Skip fabric softener, it coats the loop and takes away exactly the absorbency you paid the gsm for.
