Lux hotel cosmetics at a glance: six 500 ml dispensers with hand soap, hair and body wash, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion, plus the 5 litre refill canister
A perfumer's signature for the guest bathroom

Lux Hotel Cosmetics

Six products, two formats, one brand from more than a hundred countries

Lux hotel cosmetics come from the world's second largest bath and shower brand. What sets them apart from other hotel lines is not the formula but the fragrance: for decades Lux has worked with perfumers of the kind otherwise known from fine perfumery.

The brand

Why Lux hotel cosmetics sell through their fragrance

With most hotel cosmetics, the packaging decides whether the guest considers them high quality. With Lux, the first breath under the shower decides. The brand has honed its profile over decades on a single question: what a fragrance feels like that turns an everyday shower into something special.

Fragrance expertise

Why the fragrance, of all things, is the argument

Fragrance is the part of an amenity that no data sheet captures and that every guest notices anyway. Lux does not treat it as an accessory but as the core of the product. Three pieces of evidence, all from the manufacturer's brand deck.

01

Its own perfumers

Lux works with a fixed circle of perfumers who stand for the brand by name: Nicole Mancini, Anne-Sylvie Seleznef and Loc Dong. In mass cosmetics that is the exception, in fine perfumery the rule.

02

Grasse

The brand supports the International Perfume Museum in Grasse and keeps its own jasmine garden there. Grasse has been the centre of European perfume making since the 16th century.

03

Its own raw material

For the patchouli oil Lux works with the fragrance house Firmenich and sources it from its own plantation in Indonesia instead of buying it on the world market. More under Origin.

And this is the name of the fragrance you get: Lily and Bergamot. It is printed on every bottle of our formats, in four languages below the product name. Lily and bergamot, so a white blossom against a bright citrus note. All six products carry the same fragrance, in the dispenser as in the canister.

What that means for your property. You are not buying an anonymous formula with a sticker but a brand whose fragrance work can be documented. That is exactly the kind of detail a guest cannot name and still mentions in the review.

Formats

Lux hotel cosmetics in two formats, nothing else

For the hotel trade, Lux is available refillable only. The dispenser stands in the bathroom, the canister stands in the store room, and between the two lies the only hand movement housekeeping has to learn.

Lux Professional Shampoo in the 500 ml dispenser with pump

500 ml dispenser

Petrol coloured bottle with matching pump, all six products in the same format and the same colour. The product name is printed on the label in four languages. At eight millilitres per use, one dispenser lasts for around 62 uses.

Branded goods are delivered unchanged. Lux comes in the design that stands on shelves worldwide, without hotel logo, without your own label, without a special colour. That is exactly what your guest recognises the brand by. Anyone who needs their logo on the product itself needs a private label →

Units per carton, carton dimensions and pallet layout we confirm with the quote, because they are currently being confirmed by the manufacturer.

The line

Six products, one fragrance: Lily and Bergamot

Other hotel lines have five products. Lux has six, and the sixth is the interesting one: a hair and body wash that does both. Properties that want to save space in the bathroom place it on its own and manage with three dispensers instead of four.

Lux Professional Shampoo in the 500 ml dispenser with pump

Shampoo

The hair wash of the line, in the same fragrance as the other five products.

Lux Professional Conditioner in the 500 ml dispenser with pump

Conditioner

The rinse to go with the shampoo, for combability after washing.

Lux Professional Hair and Body Wash in the 500 ml dispenser with pump

Hair and body wash

Hair and body in one product. The dispenser many properties place instead of two.

Lux Professional Shower Gel in the 500 ml dispenser with pump

Shower gel

The pure shower gel for properties that want to offer hair and body separately.

Lux Professional Hand Soap in the 500 ml dispenser with pump for hotel bathrooms

Hand soap

Liquid soap for the washbasin, in the fragrance of the line.

Lux Professional Body Lotion in the 500 ml dispenser with pump

Body lotion

The care after the shower, also available in both formats.

All six in both formats. There is no product available only as a dispenser or only as a canister. So you can equip every floor exactly as suits the room layout, without having to do without a product.

Complete INCI lists, safety data sheets and current labels come with the quote. We describe the hotel formats here, not the retail goods of the same brand.

Origin

Kotayasa, Indonesia

With amenities, sustainability is usually a statement about the packaging. With Lux there is an additional one about the content, and it can be traced back to one place.

The raw material

Patchouli is one of the most expensive and hardest to trace fragrance raw materials. Instead of buying it on the world market, Lux, together with the fragrance house Firmenich, has built a sourcing programme on the patchouli plantation Kotayasa in Indonesia, so that every drop in the product has a known source.

The people

The programme includes a kindergarten on the site. It is the reason the women farmers of the plantation can work without having to hand over the care of their children. That is not a donation but part of the supply chain.

What you can tell with it. When a guest or a corporate client asks about your sourcing, with this line you have an answer with a place name. That is more than most amenities offer.

Refilling

The legal framework from 2030, in brief

From 1 January 2030 the European packaging regulation bans the small single-use containers of cosmetics in the accommodation sector. Anyone still placing miniatures today has a changeover ahead. Anyone relying on dispensers and canisters has it behind them.

1

Dispenser into the bathroom

Six products, 500 ml, with pump. At eight millilitres per use, one dispenser lasts for around 62 uses.

2

Canister into the store room

One 5 litre canister fills ten dispensers. Housekeeping refills instead of disposing.

3

No changeover date

Because the line has no miniatures anyway, you need no separate project plan for 2030.

Lux, Dove or TRESemmé: three routes, the same format

All three lines come in the 500 ml dispenser and the 5 litre canister. The decision is not made on the technology but on the appearance in the bathroom.

Lux, this page

The fragrance is the argument, not the formula. Six products in one fragrance line, plus the hair and body wash for small bathrooms.

Dove

The best known of the three brands, with two fragrance lines to choose from and additionally minis and a travel kit for everything outside the room.

TRESemmé

Comes from the hair salon and shows it. Black bottle, colour code per product, lockable wall holder.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Lux hotel cosmetics

The questions purchasing and housekeeping ask us about this line.

What is the hair and body wash for?
It replaces two dispensers with one. It is intended for properties with small bathrooms, for boarding houses and for floors where the guest stays one night on average. Anyone who wants the full presentation continues to place shampoo and shower gel separately. Both come from the same line and smell the same, so you can mix within one property.
How does Lux differ from TRESemmé in your range?
Both are branded goods from Unilever, both are available refillable only. TRESemmé comes from the hairdressing trade and sells through hair expertise. Lux comes from the world of fragrance and sells through the experience under the shower. Lux has six products instead of five, the lockable wall holder is the same for both. Which line suits your property we clarify fastest with a sample.
In which countries can you deliver Lux?
In almost all of Europe. The exception is the hotel channel in Spain, where the brand owner works with its own partner. Wholesale customers in Spain we can supply. For all other countries in which we are active there is no restriction. Simply ask us for your country, we have the release in writing.
Where do the goods come from and how long does a delivery take?
The line is produced in Asia and delivered from our warehouse in Germany. For you that means: no overseas freight, no customs clearance and no minimum quantity of container size. Specific delivery dates we state with the quote, because they depend on the stock of the individual products.
Can we convert one floor first and the whole property later?
Yes, and that is the route we recommend. You convert one floor, let housekeeping work with it for four weeks and look at the feedback. Only then do you decide about the rest. We keep the price scale for the later total quantity open, so that the trial run does not cost you more.
Does Lux fit with a private label in the same property?
Yes, provided you separate the areas cleanly. Many properties place branded goods in the room categories they advertise with, and a private label in staff rooms, spa or pool showers. What you should avoid is both side by side in the same bathroom, because then the price difference becomes visible instead of the upgrade.
Are refill dispensers in the guest bathroom hygienic?
Yes, as long as nothing is decanted openly. Dispensing is via the pump, the bottle sits in the holder. When changing, the rule is: let it run empty, then swap or top up from the canister of the same line. Leftovers are not poured together, and nothing goes into a labelled bottle other than what the label says.
May we refill from the 5 litre canister ourselves?
That is what the canister is for. The only important thing is that label and content stay together, so always the same product in the same bottle, and that you do not top up over leftovers.
What does Lux cost per bottle?
The unit price is in the quote. It depends on quantity, country of delivery and delivery terms, which is why there is no list that applies to everyone. With the number of rooms and the product selection we calculate it at short notice.
From what quantity do you deliver carriage paid?
From two cartons carriage paid throughout Europe, by UPS from our central warehouse in Germany. A single carton costs a flat rate of 50.00 €. So a property does not have to take a pallet to equip itself.
How many dispensers do we need for the initial fit-out?
Count one dispenser per bathroom for each product you want to place, and add around twenty percent as circulation for changes and reserve. The ongoing monthly requirement is given by the quantity calculator above, that is the second figure, separate from this one.
Can we compare samples of several brands?
Yes, we put together a sample package across the lines that come into question. How Dove and TRESemmé differ from Lux is described above under brand choice.
