With a guest item in film nobody asks about the wrapper. With the paper sachet the wrapper is what the guest sees first and housekeeping touches first. This guide describes how the sachet of the Green Elegant line is made, how it gets from the case to the trolley and what remains of it after opening.
Three things that make the sachet
A sachet is a flat pouch of paper, closed on three sides, the fourth to tear open. What sets it apart from a film pouch lies in material, print and appearance.

Inner pack, bundle, trolley
The case is the unit for ordering and storage. What goes on the housekeeping trolley is never the case but an inner pack.
How big an inner pack is
That depends on the item. Dental kit, shaving kit and sleep set lie bundled in fifties, vanity kit, comb, hairbrush, loofah, shower cap and hygiene bag in hundreds, the wooden comb with handle in 125s, the manicure set in 400s, sewing kit, cotton buds and cotton pads in 500s. A case of vanity kits therefore holds ten inner packs, a case of sewing kits five.
What an inner pack means in the house
An inner pack of 100 vanity kits covers 100 arrivals with daily replacement. A house with 40 rooms and three arrivals per room and week needs a good bundle of that per week. Those who count bundles per floor instead of cases per store have their supply under control without calculating.
Store dry
Paper takes up moisture, film does not. Sachets therefore do not belong next to the laundry or in the room with the linen chute. A shelf in the store where the terry linen also lies is the right place.
The case stays closed: Opened cases draw moisture and dust. Housekeeping takes out an inner pack and closes the case again, so the goods stay as on the first day until the last bundle.
What remains of the sachet, and what of the contents
The sachet tears at the edge, without scissors. What the guest then holds differs per item.
The wrapper
Paper with soy ink, which belongs in the waste paper. In Green Classic the wrapper is a bag of PLA, white and translucent; PLA is a plastic made from corn starch and does not belong in the waste paper. That is the difference between the two lines, the contents are largely the same.
